The old Chinese heritage capital of Samui, Ban Nathon another leisurely drive just fifteen minutes to the old shopping markets teeming with the day's fresh catch, vegetables and locally grown fruit. Sunsets silhouette the fishermen and their boats framing them in every imaginable colour. The lights sparkling in the darkening dusk reflect the head lamps worn to attract the night fish and crustaceans. Bending fishermen and women, the only movement plucking the nights harvest amongst the shallow warm water, ready for the evenings culinary temptations.

For the adventurous amongst you a one hour hike over the hillside pn the centre of the island will lead you to a world of waterfalls untouched by the contemporary. Bring some hiking boots if you enjoy walking adventures.

To live on Samui without trekking with the most elegant and gentle of all beasts the Thai elephants will leave you wanting and disappointed. Have no fear of these giants, they are warm and loving. Their treat for you, an expedition through the streams, woods and waterfalls of ancient flora and fauna that is Samui.
